From first contact to completion of the job everyone at 1st Move International had time to talk through options, they all worked with humour and appeared to enjoy their work from the driver who collected my stuff up through the office staff. This is a different way of moving "part container" personal effects. I was a bit worried about the concept but Tom in the UK was extremely good at explaining the system and I have to admit it worked perfectly. 1st Move kept us informed in virtually every step of the journey. Our goods were picked up, transported then palletised and shrink wrapped at their Warehouse in Bristol. Our goods arrived in Australia (Brisbane) where their partners Conroys dealt with the Australian part of clearing Customs. All 112 packages arrived safely and intact. So of course - I would thoroughly recommend them!

I chose 1st move as I liked their transparency in wrapping your goods and measuring them on pallets and sending you photos. Phone calls and quotes and paperwork was as clear as such a tricky process could be. The man who came to collect was bang on time and very professional. All staff I spoke to on the phone were helpful too. The goods arrived in good time and in perfect condition. The wrapping that 1st move did was very impressive and we breathed a big sigh of relief when we eventually got it all home. With so many bad reviews on shipping companies out there I just wanted to share my experience and I had a very good one with this company.

1st Move International was extremely good with helping us with our international move. They took so much of our stress away as they picked up the boxes and packed the crate themselves. They had developed a "COVID-SAFE" wrap so that our shipment wouldn't have to sit for two weeks upon arrival. They were very responsive to any questions we had, and communicated very well through the whole journey. When unpacking none of our stuff was broken, wet or crushed in anyway. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about shipping overseas.

The customs officials said it was one of the best packed pallets they remember inspecting and the efficiency of the packing sheets inventory that you provided was so helpful to them (and us!) we cleared customs in 30 minutes...from the officers arrival to inspect to leaving with all docs cleared. UK to Australia no problem. Due to a family emergency my wife, son and myself had to move out of a top floor walk up flat in London and across to the other side of the world (Brisbane Australia) with very little notice. We called 1st Move International and let them know that we needed to be packed up and gone within a week, with everything to be put into a 20ft sole use container. Surprisingly 1st Move were extremely accommodating, they were happy to discuss the move with me over the phone and more importantly answered their phone every time I rang and gave me all the information I needed. On the day their packers and movers arrived bang on time and were quite happy to grab an extra lounge suite we had in storage (we did tell them this on the phone), they packed furiously but carefully and were in and out within about 8 hours. (That's packing and moving!). We said goodbye to our furniture and understood that it would be repacked where needed onto pallets for the sailing. Having received our furniture and personal belongings now in Brisbane, I am happy to report that they did everything they said they would. The furniture arrived in the same condition it left in, nothing was broken and being at customs on the day of delivery I could see it was packed and wrapped with care. I would definitely recommend 1st Move International to anyone that asks. Great company, great people, very happy.

Hi Andrew, Just thought I would drop a line and let you know that our motorhome arrived in Brisbane last Monday. We had no problems with customs and just a slight hiccup with quarantine as they felt that the motorhome was not clean enough!!! This is something we thought would happen anyway, so were quite prepared for their extra charge. We had the motorhome cleaned before we dropped it off to the docks in Southampton and after a three hour effort by one of the cleaning companies, it was just spotless. Never mind, the process went very quickly and we were able to drive it home today ready to now arrange for the Australian registration. We were so pleased to find that the motorhome arrived in the same condition we left it in, with no damage whatsoever. After hearing many horror stories, we were very relieved. Your agents were a great help getting things sorted this end for us. Many thanks Andrew to you and your team who helped us with the shipping of our motorhome to Australia. Have to say huge thanks to Graeme for all his help in getting my vehicle over from the UK. Having read up on the process before commencement it seemed to be quite daunting, but with his help and advice, it seemed to be unfounded as the whole import process went very smoothly. From the initial enquiry via the website, he took the time and effort to explain everything to me in detail, even answering the numerous questions which I had, and probably some random non pertinent ones too! It took a while for me to choose a shipper based on the initial questions I had, but his follow up emails were courteous and non intrusive and when I requested a call to discuss further, despite the time difference he called promptly at the time agreed. Once dockside, Andrew offered the same courteous service, he promptly answered questions which I had about the loading process and handled the mildly irate email I sent to him (I did apologise in a later email) regarding my vehicle being bumped to the next sailing, professionally and efficiently, he also answered the questions I had arising out of this incident promptly and clearly explaining how such incidents can occur. All in all, a very good experience and happy with the service, nothing was too much trouble and the manner in which initially Graeme, then Andrew dealt with things allayed any fears which I had. I have already recommended your company to some friends who are planning on making the move to Australia next year as they have 2 vehicles to bring over and I have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone else who wishes to do the same.

The shipment arrived in one piece which I was really pleased about as the contents had more sentimental than monetary value following the loss of both my parents. The packing material used was great and even the quarantine guy commented on the quality of the packing as we unopened it from the pallet. Every inch had been packed carefully which of course kept the cost down for me.

1st Move International did a great job for my relatively small lot of family heirlooms, furniture, clocks etc. Everything went very smoothly indeed. They were very helpful with advice on how to pack different items. I felt they tried to keep costs down for me, rather than attempt to push me to pay for extras, such as insurance that wouldn’t have met my needs. I haven’t yet opened all my parcels, but so far all is intact. I would certainly recommend their services to others, and would use them again
