What Documents Do I Need for Panama Customs?
The exact paperwork depends on your residency status, but you should normally be prepared to provide:
- Passport, including your latest Panama entry stamp
- Panamanian residency or visa documentation
- Bill of Lading or shipping document
- Detailed inventory in Spanish
- Evidence of your residency application, where applicable
- Employment, work permit or lawyer's letter, where required
- Invoices for new or recently purchased goods, where applicable

When Should My Household Goods Arrive in Panama?
Household goods should normally arrive within six months of your most recent entry into Panama. Current guidance also provides for a maximum of two household goods shipments within this period.

Yes. Household goods entering Panama are subject to physical Customs inspection, normally at the port of entry or a Customs bonded warehouse.
